I just picked up a used Buckmark SS Camper. Is the Buckmark slide designed to be released using the slingshot method when chambering a round from a full magazine with the slide locked back or must you use the slide release lever?
I tried the slingshot method but the slide release lever remains in place to block slide from closing when the slide is pulled back slightly. Slide releases normally by depressing the slide release lever and the slide locks back normally after the last shot of a magazine. |

I tweaked the lower leg of the spring to add more tension and the slingshot method now functions as designed. |
