Ok I just received my Ultimate Cliploader from CTD today.  I tried it out and it failed miserably.  Appeared to be manufacturing debris inside the device.  I cleaned it out best I could without disassembling the thing.  Still didn't work.  If I shake the crap out of it I can get a few rounds into it and if I fiddle with it for 2 or 3 minutes I can shake and rattle it around enough to get maybe 7 or 8 rounds in but this is nowhere close to a 3 second reload.  Was using Federal Bulk Pack 550 count ammo.  My thinking is speedloading means I am gonna be shooting large volumes hence using cheap bulk ammo.  I am using this for loading Mark III mags.

Anyone else have one of this things and if so what are your own impressions with it?  Problems?  Solutions?

Thanks,

Wes

Never had that problem, get it replaced, then buy LOTS of ammo

Did you adjust the screw on the end of the loader?  I had to tweak mine to get it to go - now it runs like a top.

yes I adjusted it all sorts of ways

and I bought 40 bucks worth of different ammo from wal-mart to see if it is an ammo problem

Rem 550 bulk... if I pump the mag I can get it to work about 80%
Win 330 bulk... bout the same
CCI mini mag 36 gn 100 count if I pump the mag I can get it to work...
Federal 550 bull pack pump the mag I may be able to get 7 or 8 to feed in 3 minutes or I get pissed off whatever comes first

...at any rate I get nothing anywhere close to a 3 second load.

Ruger Mark 3 mags...

I am still on the fence about returning it cause I know I will be footing the bill for shipping on it (again) and by the time all is said and done I will have enough shipping fees to have purchased 2 units...

adjust the tension of the ball bearing that retains ammo when mag isnt inserted?  I do however spray a light coat of silicone spray in mine from time to time.
