My Kimber Pro TLE/RL II has been having problems lately not returning to battery.  I've also occasionally had some FTEs and FTFs.  I changed out the recoil spring this evening and I'm hoping to get to the range tomorrow or this weekend to test it out.  Here is a pic of the old recoil spring and the new one (guess which one is which, although that shouldn't be too hard).

Wolff springs for the Pro sized Kimbers are the only way to go IMO. Replace them every 800 rounds.

WOW that spring is compressed that looks like the issue.

Thanks for the info about the Wolff springs.  I just used a Kimber replacement spring but I'll pick up some Wolff ones for the next time I change it.

Wolff stock # 26223
Brownells # 969-000-137

Comes with an x-tra power firing pin spring too. They are about $8.00 + shipping from Brownells.

had the exact same problem with my cdp pro.  replaced the spring with a new wolf spring and it's like new again.  my old spring was that bad too.

I once worked on a friend's Pro that had a recoil spring so old and so short, at first I thought someone had cut it in half.
