I think the Delta is shooting high, or that the sights were caliberated for distance (25-50 yds). I've kept my impressions to myself, believing (as is 9/10 of the time) the case to be user error. Another friend shot it and remarked that it was shooting high to him. That said, I will be working closely with the gun for another session or two to ensure it's not user-induced. If it's the sights, I would rather spend $$$ on a good sight of hi-viz tactical sights than spending $50 sending it back to Colt to have the same sights reinstalled.

I was thinking about the 10-8 U-notch rear, but for the front I was hoping for a fiber-optic/tritium combination. I know they exist, but I don't know if they are marketed for 1911s. Does anybody know of a fiber-optic/tritium sight for 1911s? Preference goes to the standard GI post front sight sold by itself, but a dovetail and/or front & rear package would not be disregarded at this point. Thoughts?

I just put a 10-8 rear on my pro and love it. TrueGlo makes a sight set for the kimber cut http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=510902

How high is "high"  it should print 3-4" above point of aim at 25 yards. (i.e. x-ring on a standard 25 yard target with a 6'ockock hold)

Most 3-dot sights should be calibrated to shoot point of aim at 25 yards.  You need to know what type oh hold you want for us to give any better advice, though the sights SGB shows look pretty nice.
