| When I shot my kimber the other day I was almost always an inch or two low from were I was aiming. I was useing win. 230 grain white box ammo. The gun is a cdp 2 with fixed night sights. When I was lining up the sights i put the one white dot on the front sight right in the middle of the two rear dots and then covered up the 10 spot on the target with the middle white dot. Is this wrong or right. I was shooting freehand and I don;t shoot handgun much. i |

To really see where the sights are hitting shoot from a rest. Line up the top of the sights, not the dots. This will tell you where the gun is hitting by taking out most of the shooter influence of milking grip, flinching, etc. A smooth sqeeze on the trigger with a surprise break will tell you the real story.
Most Kimber fixed sights are set for 25 yards. Try the above at 10 yards and you should be very close to POA = POI. The dots are good for close up work at night. Beyond that use the top of the sights for best results in the day time. |

This is the correct technique for using a 3-dot sight. WWB is loaded a bit on the light side. It would not surprise me if another brand of ammo printed higher. |
