Wiggle the left side out then rotate the right past the pin and out ps: allways liked your avatar. Nice 1911 |

You have to wiggle the right side loose first, then swivel it upwards to clear the retaining pin. If you have a plastic mallet a (cover the safety with a piece of electrical tape) good smack to the left side safety will often loosen the right side and make removing it easier. |
