| I have an original issue Colt Mark IV/Series 70 government model full size 1911. It's completly original with no gunsmithing, it has been sitting in a safe for about 20 years, until recently. I was just curious what it might be worth on the current market. Guesses are fine but serious answers only please, if I want jokes I'll watch TV. Thanks in advance. I can post pics tomorrow. |

Is it a recent re-issue, or an original Series 70?
I think the re-issues go for about $800 or so, and the originals will fall in a wide range according to condition, originality, and accessories included. 98% condition, with box –– $1000 down to Moderate wear, Bubba-smithed, no box, missing original parts - $400-500. |
