A year ago I would be all over one of these but I bought a Marvel upper for my 1911s and I love it.

I have been running a Kimber .22 conversion (Ceiner I believe) on my old colt and have been very happy with it. My colt has been tricked out years back with a decent trigger and the whole package just works

How have your conversions been for reliability?  I have had a couple of conversions and I could tune them for a few specific types of ammo, but they wouldn't digest everything.  From what I hear, this 1911-22 feeds about everything?  Plus I would like to put a can on one, they are suppose to be making a tactical model with 1/2 - 28 threads and with the fixed barrel, they will run with a can just fine.

Are the parts in the frame of that conversion compatible with standard 1911 parts?  For that price, they must have cut corners somewhere and I'd bet that trigger feels like crap.

The article did not state if any of the original parts are interchangable, from the photos it does not look like they will be?  From what I hear the grips and the sights will be compatable.

As for the trigger pull, the writer wrote "The trigger pull was a bit heavy to suit me, weighing in at seven pounds, ten ounces, but releasing crisply. I prefer a much lighter trigger for target work, but this trigger pretty well replicates the trigger pull of a typical centerfire 1911"

I'm tyring to track one down, I want to see what they feel like.

Yeah, I'd be interested in seeing what they feel like as well.

I don't know if I'd take it over building a dedicated frame to use with a conversion kit, but the price is really very good.
