Hey all. Im looking at getting an STI Trubor,  Im going to go with 9mm I was just wondering what I should expect from it?  Does anyone have one and if so does it function with cheap ammo?
I currently have an STI Tactical 5.0 and it runs good but gets picky with some ammo.  I know its alot to spend on a pistol to then put garbage ammo through but thats what cleaning kits are for and I cant afford to feed it the good stuff.  A couple fail to fires are fine with me but if I need to feed this thing special loads then ill look into getting something else.  Thanks for the help everbody..

Ask over at Brian Enos. or the training section under USPSA. Trubor is in a special class of handguns.

Make sure you tell them to set the gun up for 9mm minor (factory ammo). 9mm major is loaded hot and long, higher than 1331 fps for a 124 grain projectile.

Getting the 9mm to run on factory length ammo may be a little frustrating but not impossible. Maybe SVI magazines w/ a spacer.

Look into a Barry or a Quin mount as these mounts will allow for more open ejection = more reliable.
