I have a Para Ordinance 1911. I recently bought some new trijicon night sights for novack front and rear cut slides. I need a new slide to accommodate my sights but I'm having lots of difficulty selecting the right one.
I understand that its likely that any slide I purchase will need a little tuning and adjusting to make it fit and function correctly. I have been all over the internet for weeks and still haven't found what I'm looking for. I'm guessing I'll need is a normal 5" slide. I would prefer stainless, but it doesn't have to be. I'd also like side serrations on the front and rear of the side walls for grip. I want it also to have the correct internal parts as well. I've found some slides that have 9mm firing pins and other rounds etc. but I want to be sure it has a normal firing pin. Cost is important, I want a decent deal, but I also know that you get what you pay for. I would prefer anything under 300 bucks. Like I've said, I've looked all over and am having trouble finding anything. If you could be of any help, please educate me, and point me in the right direction.
