Does anyone know where I can get the springfield GI 45 with the 5 in barrel, parkerized, and US checkered grips. I have been looking at several different places and it looks like everyone is out of stock.

Make sure you confirm in stock before placing an internet order. One is often surprised by the difference between what's in stock and what's advertised as in stock.
You're in Missouri, which makes me automatically think of Bass Pro Shops. None of the gun shops in the St. Louis area overwhelmed me with inventory when I was there. I do know a store in Bartonville IL has a bunch of Springfield 1911s, while other shops in the Peoria area have trouble getting them (we're an hour from Springfield Armory). If you are hard up to get one, and have a dealer willing to transfer, I can get you contact info. |
| These guys SGC currently have four in inventory at $499 (parkerized). I don't believe there's a credit card fee or sales tax, but there is a stiff $70 postage for an internet sale. |
