So after seeing a good friend of mine and a amazing gun smith, I came home looking up a new 1911. I know double star has made frames, but now they have a full blown fit & finish pistol. It seems like an amazing firearm thats made 100% in the USA and its under $1200. Now I own a few Springfield 1911's and a Colt. But I have been looking for a new duty carry for the private security field. It seems like a well put together pistol. Does anyone have any field experience with this specific 1911? Or any known flaws thus far? Thanks for the help guys!

| From what I've heard they shoot nice enough for the money. The only things I don't care for is the HUGE dragon on the side of the slide and the grip safety looks like a drop in piece. For the $$ I'd expect a better fit. Other than that, only time will tell how they hold up. |
