I just got an older Interarms SilverCup 1911 that was built around 1980. I am pretty sure that none of the springs have ever been replaced in it and I have never replaced any springs on a 1911. I looked on Wilson Combat and found their kit for $16 but was wondering if that is a good replacement spring set to go with or should I go with Wolf or someone else. I know the trigger isnt fully resetting so I am hoping that when I replace the springs that will fix that problem.
I know Wilson makes quality stuff but dont know if this is the best one to go with.

Thanks

Not sure but I think Wilson are made by Wolff. I just get the Wolff replacement spring packs, the last one I bought was for a Defender a couple weeks ago and it was less then $8. If nothing else, the recoil and FP spring should be replaced.

I had an Interarms Silver Cup once.  I bought it with money earned at ROTC Advanced Camp, Fort Riley Kansas after the summer of 1979.  I remember it had a Remington-Rand slide.  It didn't run well at first, but it was a genuine .45 as far as I was concerned.  I eventually got all the bugs worked out of it, only to have it stolen 13 years later by a couple of 14 year old boys, along with nine other firearms including a NYSP marked S&W Model 28, a beautiful S&W Model 29 and an AR 15.  The judge gave both of them a very slight slap on the wrist even though both had previous criminal trespass convictions.  Never saw any of the guns again.

I called Wolff and they are sending them out in a few days. Going to go ahead and replace everything since it is a 30 year old gun. Those videos with the guy disassembling / reassembling the Mil-Spec on youtube are great.
