Ok, so I'm putting together a cheapo 1911. That said, Bud'sGunshop has these advertised as out of stock for like 100 bucks. What does anyone know about these frames? Cast, forged? Anyone know of another source for these?

Doublestar frames are forged, AFAIK. The info can be found on J&T's web site, FWIW.
