| My buddy just got a Colt 1991 Commander with the older 3-dot sights. Is there a night sight that will fit that will not require the slide to be cut for a novak style sight? He plans on using it as a carry piece. |

Yup, Trijicon makes a set of "standard" tritum 3-dots for 1911s.
XS might make a tritium "dot" set for standard cuts as well - I'm pretty sure they offer set for standard rear dovetails, but I don't recall if the front is staked or not and I don't know if it was available in their tritium line (since XS makes both standard and night versions of their "dot" lines). |
