well, you can't ask for good mags and not expect to spend money, this is true with almost any firearm.

I use Wilson Combat 47cd magazines. 8 rounds with a low profile floorplate.

Get 8rd Chip McCormick Power mags.

Just as good as Wilson, cost less.  Proven in competition.

On sale now here.

I've had decent luck with all of these.

From Left to Right.  Wilson 47D (About $27-$30),  Kimber KimPro Tac-Mag (about $18-20),  Chip McCormick (about $20),  Novak (PSI/ACT mag) 9 around $14-18).

Prices can be found if shopping on line.  I have heard that teh Novaks may be limited to about a 2000 round life due to several folks experiencing feed lip cracking at this point and others have reported cracked baseplates from dropping the mags on a hard surface.  My Novak only has about a 500 round count on it so far and has not been dropped free onto concrete.

I like the price point and performance of the KimPro with it's not tilt follower.

The Wilsons have a great reputation.

Tripp Reasearch Cobra mags are supposed to be very good, but I haven't ponied up the cash to try one at $35 plus for a 8 round pistol mag.

Only mags I buy now are Tripp Cobramags. I'll use my Wilsons until they're done. Then buy more Tripps. I've had Chip McCormick mags and they didn't impress me. Had lots of problems with my ACT mags in pistol/carbine courses. And my Kimber mags have always given me trouble.

I've never had a problem with true surplus USGI 7 rounders.  Cost was lessthan 10 bucks a magazine.

They are having a group buy on Checkmate mags. It ends this week. You might want to look there.
