I am changing the trigger on my Dan Wesson CBOB to a short one, and have located a Cylinder & Slide model that should work.  It is available in smooth or grooved face.  Which one and why?

I have gone to slim grips and am going to the short trigger because I have short, stubby fingers, and I tend to pull closer to the finger joint rather than with the finger pad.

The pistol is used for everything except hunting (Carry, HD, truck gun, plinking).  Thanks.

I have one or two of both.  To tell you the truth I really don't notice the difference.

The .45 doesn't have enough recoil to hurt you like a short barrelled .44 magnum does.  The factory grooved trigger on my M29 used to actually take the skin off the end of my trigger finger after awhile.  A smooth trigger fixed that.
