I built a Fusion 6" 10mm. Sti frame and slide.
Unless you have all of the specialty tools to do a quality job on fitting all the parts you will come out cheaper buying a complete gun.
Love my gun, absolutey the smoothest feeling 1911 I have ever pulled the slide back on.
Going to put a gain twist barrel from Shuemann on it.

I bought a Fusion Kit last summer.  I like it very much.  You can call them and order it as pre-built as you want if you don't want to have to buy tools for fitting specialty parts.

I finished one Fusion kit, and have been very happy with it.  The typical kit has the frame, slide, barrel, bushing all fitted, you just need to fit the remaining parts.  I also had Fusion build me a basic Commander that I have been fairly happy with.  In the end the price between buying a kit and all the parts was only slightly cheaper than the complete Fusion pistol.  Although I did have a lot of fun putting the kit together.  Either way, Fusion sells quality components and has great customer service in my experience.
