I'm not trying to be a smartass here, but here is my advice.....
Work on your grip. This alone will most likely help out more than anything. http://www.ar15.com/content/page.html?id=290 Work on your stance. Make sure your not shooting with a relaxed stance. If your hell bent on gun mods you could try the following.... Possibly check out some grips for your gun with more texture to them. I like "Golfballed" or "Gunner" grips personally. VZ Grips also has some great offerings. You can also look into front strap checkering or even just some 'skateboard tape'. - NM, Your Kimber already has checkering lol I find that checkering and good grips helps more than any gun mod. (I wouldn't go beyond checkering, grips or 'skateboard tape' personally) Some say an EGW square bottom firing pin stop helps reduce muzzle flip a little. If your not comfortable installing one yourself, a decent smith should be able to do it for you..... http://egw-guns.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=34_41&products_id=36 You could also try weighted full length guide rods or something like that although I'm not sure anyone makes one for a 4". If you decide a .45 has too much recoil for your liking, try a 1911 in 9mm or .40. I hope this helps. |
