so, im gonna be carrying my 1911, and the backstrap thats on it seems a little big, doesnt hug the frame. and i have seem some that do, and figured that it might help conceal it. less pointy. and its a Firestorm BTW
also need some nicer wood grips if anyone has some for sale

Generally speaking, the mainspring housings come in two flavors: Arched and flat. It sounds like you would like a flat MSH.
The Firestorms i've seen pictured have flat MSHs. Maybe you just want yours fitted closer to the frame itself? I guess pictures would help. |

Something about it just fits my hand a little more comfortably. I can't say I can see how the extra 1/2" or so it adds would alter concealability very much, though... |
