My friends have been after me to Bob Tail my commander and I finally broke down.
I gave the frame to a friend who has the jig and a drill press to drill the hole. He did great! Then I blended the parts and applied a little fake parkerizing (Farkerizing  ). Ordered some thinline Horned Lizard grips and poof! I have a BobTail.
I'm pretty pleased and I'm not fighting the urge to find another 1911 that "needs" work. |
