A little while ago, I picked up a Norinco that has some finish wear near the slide release.  The metal is pretty bare.  What's the best way to touch that up?  (Yes, I know it's a Nork and Krylon is probably good enough).

Cold blue will probably be the best looking touch-up, but it probably won't match the existing finish exactly.  If you just have a narrow scratch, try using a toothpick to apply the cold blue so you don't end up with a wide discolored patch.
