| Just when the market couldn't get oversaturated enough, another corner-cutting knockoff has entered to fold, prompting who knows how many "what do you all think of ––––-?" threads for the future. I just got the new Blue Press and there's an ad for the Para "Expert" (no, I didn't type it with a straight face). This stripped-down "GI" version is a no-frills A1 with a nonstandard 3-hole trigger that has what appears to be 1/8" of slop on either side of it. it retails at $599, so we have yet another horse in the "I have $175 and I want a good 1st 1911" race. It's not on their site yet, and the only other link I see is on another 1911 board. So keep your eyes peeled for the "expert", sold everywhere that promotes poorly cast Canadian knock-offs filled with third-rate MIM. |
