Looking for a few questions to be answered. First, what's the average price for the loadeds? Parked and Stainless?

I've found one that is selling for $750 nearby and was looking for a mil-spec to start with, but they're hard to find right now. Anyways, I was just wondering if I should look at spending the extra money for something that isn't parked and shines.

Which comes to my second question. Would it be wise to get a certain darker finish like a duracoat in order to have a non-reflective surface? Or should I just get it parkerized? What would a typical cost be to get one of those done?

I'm just looking for a nice pistol that I could be hard on and it would still be able to operate with normal maintenance. This may be a back-up 1911 if I go into the service and am allowed to carry one besides the issued M9, just to give yall an idea. Thanks for any help.

I don't know how common it is to be able to carry a non-issued gun.

The stainless loaded is a nice piece.  It has a guide rod.  Many also come with adjustable sights.

I would forego these items on a fighting gun.  I like the ambi-safety and beavertail.

STI makes an awesome 1911   you can get a Spartan for 660.00

The sparten felt alot nicer than the Springfield loaded for alot less dough.

This one has fixed sights. I honestly don't know if I would be able to carry it, but it's at least nice to think of. I would most likely get another 1911 for duty making the loaded a back up if I was able to carry one anyways. This one at the moment would be a practice/HD pistol.

And is there anything to look for with the Loadeds? Or is it just, happy hunting?
