I've been looking for a TRP for a while.
I didn't particularly want a railed pistol, but the deal was too good to pass up. As well, it's an interesting pistol. NM162XXX, stamped "SS" on the frame?!!? Bomar sights green rear, orange front. I called SA to get some details...the pistol was built for the 2000 Shot Show, then went to Gary Paul Johnson for a magazine article review. He then purchased it directly from SA. Any SA experts out here tell me if this is a prototype? I also read that the first TRPs were full railed Operators identical to the FBI guns(this is pre Professional). When the fed found out that SA was offering their spec gun for sale to the public, they threatened to pull the contract. Thus the birth of the Professional. Any truth to this?
