Any Eclipse owners out there that can comment on the durability of the finish? How does it hold up to "normal" wear and tear? I like the look, but am concerned about the durability.

My neighbor has two. One with adjustable sights and one with stock sights. Obviously the stainless holds up extremely well. The black area is a type of parkerizing. It can get scratched as can any finish. His has held up well. Hope that helps.

Mine only has a few thousand rounds thru it and a little bit of holster time. But, so far, so good.

2.5 years or so in a Milt Sparks VMII and there are a few shiny spots from wear.

The finish scuffs easily and dulls quickly in a holster. It still looks badass even with wear though.

The finish on the edges of the thumb safety wears off very easily.
