I'm lookin for a full size 1911 with a rail; other than that, not many requirements. Budget, $1500. Let's see what you got...:) Thanks, Jb |
This list is going to be a loooooooooooong list by models, somewhat shorter by brands. Virtually anything in that $1,000+ range is going to be a quality gun. It'll come down to which one flips your trigger as soon as you pick it up, IMO. My .o2 |
| IF you can find one I hgihly recommend a Rock River Arms Basic Caryy. I have one of the last made before they shut down the 1911 line and have put close to a thousand rounds thru her in the three weeks since I got it. Paid $1399 and they come with a Kart NM barrel and bushing and are (at least in my opinion) perfect in terms of fit, tightness, etc. Has a 2.5 inch at 50 yard guarantee and I have been shooting sub inch groups at 25. I am going to have a cerakote finish done, they come stock parkerized which is beautiful but I'm leery about all the rain/humidity here in the northwest. I caryy it day in and out and before buying looked at Wilsons, Baers and Browns. The RRA was less money and is a much better gun. Thinking about it I bought mine brand new for close to what I paid for my Springfield TRP. I have been shooting 1911s for close to 35 years and this is absolutely the best out of box gun have ever handled i fired! |
I gave $1500 exactly for my used Wilson CQB here on the EE. Its been my carry pistol for over a year and I love it. If you want a new gun the MC Operator has caught my attention more than once and should leave you money for a holster, mags and ammo. |
