I noticed my extractor rotates freely and the firing pin stop doesn't fit snug with it. Is that normal or should the firing pin stop and extractor be a tight fit?
The gun is a Kimber Custom TLE/RL II.

Yes Sir, it should be a tight fit. If you extractor is rotating (clocking) it will cause feed and extraction problems. A replacement FPS will correct this.

That explains the intermittent Failure-2-feed problems I've been having.

No it should not rotate.
The firing pin stop keeps it captive and should also keep it from rotating. Either you need a new firing pin stop, or a new extractor. (guessing extractor)
