Has anyone ever used Springfields custom shop to have work done?
If so how were their prices and service?

I am wanting some trigger pull lightened to about 4 lbs of pull, and was just wondering if they would be a good affordable choice.

I've heard good things, and you can download a price list/worksheet from their website.

You don't need the Springfield Custom Shop to lower the trigger pull to 4 LBS. Get a stone and Jerry Kuhnhausen's book.

You should be able to alter the trigger pull yourself, but I had great success with the Springfield Custom Shop.

My GI .45 broke (plunger tube came unstaked near the safety), so I sent it in for warranty service and had it sent in to the custom shop while it was there.  Had the ejection port lowered and flared, a match barrel installed, deburred internals, and polish the feed ramp and throat barrel.  It came back and is just as reliable as when I sent it off, barring the plunger tube incident -- and shoots much better to boot.

They have build two guns for me over the years.  The work was excellent.

Last time I checked, they were the only shop that employed two (or was it three) members of the APG

Price for trigger job is $100.
But what about turnaround time?
