Has anyone used the Smith and Alexander high grip safety?   I have had my mil spec for a month now, put about 250 rounds thru it.   its been flawless.   this is my fun gun not my carry gun.   i might carry it when it's cold just gotta see how it works out.  i just ordered a custom holster, belt and mag sheath from littlebearholsters.  haven't received it  yet but the guy has been super nice so far.  back on subject....   the S & A safety says from the brownells catalog  that it has a .220 radious that eliminates the gap that others leave.  is that true?    they sell a jig so installation sounds easy enough.
I also wanna get a new thumb safety and slide release.  i got so used to my glock 35 being able to get the slide lock and mag release with my shooting hand with out the roll.  thinner grips are coming in to play to soon.  but i shoot better groups with the s/a since i picked it up so i'm def sold on the 1911.  even if i have to adjust my reloading ritual.  i'm also thinking of mag well are the mainspring housing/mag well easy to install?  whats a good one for a mil spec?  i'm thinking the ed Brown drop in maxi-well in black chainlink.
Can you tell i just got my first brownells catolog.  lol   but rest assured i will shop around for the best price. havelet me know

Buy the .220" radius version and the jig and do it yourself, I did fine doing that on mine.
