What is a good price in today's market for a new Springfield SS Mil Spec and the best place to get it? THANKS IN ADVANCE |
Not being a smart ass, but the best place to get one is a dealer whom has them in stock at the cheapest price. Many dealers quote a price that's terrific but "sorry, we're sold out at the moment."  Or a dealer has several but sells them at MSRP prices.  Several options are auction sites such as Gun Broker, buying from someone such as CDNN or even another out of town dealer & then doing a transfer to your local FFL. Personally, I like trying gun shows as this allows me to hold the gun BEFORE I pay for it! Others will avoid gun shows like their lives depend on it. It's all personal preference, IMO. Sorry I wasn't really able to give you a simple definitive answer on "where to buy?", but I hope the suggestions helped. My .o2 |

Our local gun market is not the greatest. I do have an FFL individual that I have used in the past to purchase my AR lower. A decent gunshow would require me to go to the DFW area, about 300 miles away. I was aware of Gunbroker but, I was really hoping to get info on some of the more reputable online dealers and get a "price-check" on the current market if someone had made a recent purchase.. |
