Very nice. I'm looking at getting a Trojan 5 inch from STI right now. They seem to be a

pretty decent quality firearm.

I have a question on your thoughts of the magwell that is installed on that gun.

Does it interfere with your grip at all, do you not contact it, or does your hand completely clear it?  I built one for the Jr's Program as it was raffled off.  When I installed the magwell, when I gripped it, the heel of my hand contacted it and it threw my grip off.  Not by much, but just enough to conflict with me and the style in which I hold the gun.

I really like the gun myself too.  I have just started shooting IPSC and I just joined the USPSA.  At my second match, I took 9th out of 68 people shooting Open with my .38 Super Steel Plate gun.  I'm going to be building a Hi Cap for a beater match gun in Open.  I think I'll be working up a Limited 10 gun as well.

Take care,
Bob

Looks nice.  I guess you like a light gun?  I always liked heavy.  Although I was told as I got better, I would progress to lighter (never got out of C class before I hung it up).

I never noticed the magwell interfering with my grip.  I think I was running a Grams 9 oz.?  I always felt that it pushed my hand higher-up onto the gun & helped with recoil.

Not to detract from Steels NEW AMAZING blaster...

I'll post for him since I know his answer.  Yes it does hit the heel of your hand.  He likes it that way.  As you squeeze the grip the magwell forces you hand up into the grip safety.

I have a difference of opinion and made a slight mod to mine:  Now it's not in the way so much.
