Price wise, quite well, but many here are not fans of the 3" 1911s, especially Kimber versions.

Hey, if you're happy with it, that's all that matters.

New? Used?

I paid $650 for my used SS Ultra.

I'm not sure about the price but a friend of mine just offered me an older stainless Eclipse Ultra II for 800. I've been with him and shot it several times never seen it malfunction....  but i've also heard/read others say they had issues with them.

I think this gun has 2k~rnds threw it so i'm considering it since it seems to be a good one.

Why is that?

Keep in mind that this is me paraphrasing other people's opinions from memory, not my own opinion.

I'm actually surprised that nobody jumped in to bash 3" Kimbers.

Some people say they are unreliable.

That's a fair, but not great, price for an Eclipse.  I passed on one for $750 because I decided that I didn't want a steel frame on a carry piece.
