I just sold my full size 1911, and I'm looking for a commander size for everyday (well most days anyway) carry.  I have narrowed it down to the CZ-DW CBOB and the Colt XSE LW-Commander.  Any opinions for comparison and contrast are greatly appreciated.

Colt XSE Commander would be my choice.

Pistols in different leagues. For carrry, I'd say Colt without question.

if ya dont mind stainless.....i highly recommend the Dan Wesson, one of the best values in 1911's these days. I dont think they are in different leagues at all. The CBOB is a little heavier. IMHO I think DW's quality is equal, and probably better than Colts.

The DW CBOB is a fabulous pistol, fit and finish are far above the Colt. The only down sides are

1) only available in stainless (I prefer dark carry guns)
2) only available with a steel frame (and for me the 8 oz makes a difference)

On the other hand, the CBOB is available in 10mm which is interesting to say the least.

I'd probably chose the CBOB in 10mm, then the Colt Lightweight, then the .45 acp CBOB.

Realistically though, you should be happy with either.
