| I just sold my full size 1911, and I'm looking for a commander size for everyday (well most days anyway) carry. I have narrowed it down to the CZ-DW CBOB and the Colt XSE LW-Commander. Any opinions for comparison and contrast are greatly appreciated. |

The DW CBOB is a fabulous pistol, fit and finish are far above the Colt. The only down sides are 1) only available in stainless (I prefer dark carry guns) 2) only available with a steel frame (and for me the 8 oz makes a difference) On the other hand, the CBOB is available in 10mm which is interesting to say the least. I'd probably chose the CBOB in 10mm, then the Colt Lightweight, then the .45 acp CBOB. Realistically though, you should be happy with either. |
