| I have a Stainless II w/ an external extractor. It only has roughly 300 rds. through it. Not nearly broken in. I have had no problems with it ...yet. Should I expect some or could I be lucky and have a good gun. |
| No, they will not just replace it "no questions asked". You will have to tell them what problems you are having and they will have to verify and decide if THEY want to replace the slide. If you call up and tell them that they HAVE to replace the slide, I'll bet you get a quick "no". |

Mine and my brothers went TU at 1500-1800 rounds. Unfortunately this was AFTER I had new sights put in, a beavertail fitted, the trigger smoothed and the whole thing NP3ed. I was out a lot of money. I will never own another external extractor on a 1911 again. And it is unlikely I will buy a kimber pistol again as well. |
How so? Did they refuse to honor the warranty and make you pay for a new slide? |
