Alright,
I know Bob Serva is making these, but that's about it.  What is the quality like on them?  Just how "custom" can you get with your orders, etc.?

From what I understand, you can get just about as "custom" as you'd like. Quality is supposed to be Just as good as his prior company, if not better as they are not mass produced.

I've used three of his barrels. His service is prompt, fast response to e-mails and product is top notch!

Go over to 1911forum.com and look around.
There are some longslides, 10mms and a bunch of others that guys have had them build.
Looks like you can have one any way you want it, I have never handled one but they look pretty good to me.
+1 on fast response and communication.

I own a fusion, they are great,  I would put them above Kimber and on par with the better STI, Wilson and Rock River.  Fit and Finish is top notch,  Real tight, no slop at all

Really?    Have you owned STI, Wilson, and RRA before?  I don't mean to sound like I'm doubting you, but that's a pretty bold statement.

I have shot an STI law mam, a wilison protector and CQB and a rock river (can't remember which model) and more Kimbers then I can count.  A wilson dealer I know gave my piston a once over and said "it was as fine a pistol as any of the wilson's he had in the shop" I would say he would know.  This is JMHO but if you go to 1911auto.com and go to the fusion page please feel free to ask the same question and who knows you may get the same answer or not.

The only issue I see with fusion is that the name is not known and that will hurt you for the time being when and if it comes to resale.

Not the original poster, but I would say they are similar to the STI Trojan, but not as good as STI's more expensive offerings. Not up to par with Rock River or WC though - I own 2 of the 3 at the moment, but have owned all at some point within the last few years. Very good pistols though - better than Kimber for sure.

So you put them in between, I was not saying that they were better then the STI race guns let me just make that clear,  I would say my .45 is on par the the Lawman I shot and considered buying.  I was going to buy a RRA when I came across fusion, I had a protector for a while, real nice gun.  When you take into account quality, service and price I feel they are the best buy in the market right now.
