How would you rate these 3 pistols against each other. All 3 seem to be about even in price, but where do they differ in the field: Les Baer - SRP Nighthawk - GRP Wilson Combat - CQB Thanks for any responses. |

I only own a Baer, so I can only speak to them. All of those you list are certainly top notch with kool-aid drinkers behind each brand. One may as well ask which is better between Ferrari, Lamborghini & Maserati (sp?), IMO. Of course, the arfcom answer is ALWAYS: get them ALL! ![]() My .o2

| The answer you are going to get is likely a subjective one. I have read a small pinch of accounts from the few fortunate enough to own a couple or so of these, and remember Wilson coming out on top (in their opinion). YOUR application and YOUR tastes may differ radically, however. All of them are excellent weapons. I love my Wilson though and see more of their products in my hands in the future. |

I'm a Commander fan, so for me it's the Con7. (I like blued guns) http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f372/highdesert/Baer4.jpg Otherwise, get 'em all! |

If you can lived with a blued or stainless finish, you can get the Baer Custom Carry for about $500 cheaper than the SRP. The SRP is a little more accurate (2.5" @ 50yds) vs. the Custom Carry (3" @ 50) and comes with a paintjob and presentation case. That isn't worth the extra coin to me. In my opinion, I think Baer's allure is the value proposition vs. the competition. Their TRS, Concept, and Custom Carry models offer a lot for the money. If you're looking at the SRP, that advantage is nullified. |

i think all of them are great choices, i personally would go with the wilson, they have a long history of making outstanding 1911's and they have a great reutation, with that said though icould get 2 mc operators for that money they want and i have no issues with the one that i have. they are in different classes i know, but having a gun that will shoot 1" at 25yds is nice, but i can't hold a group that tight. i would love to have a real high end 1911 one day and i am leaning toward the wilson cqb. |
