I made an excellent trade, but I need to get the front site fixed. Beautiful weapon but previous owner messed up front site"claimed he couldnt see it" Its a 1911-a1 customized by Wilson. It appears to be dovetailed on. Anyone know where I can get it fixed in North Central Florida? Thanks for any help. It just needs replaced he broke the Trijicon nite site and filed on it a little bit.

it is really not hard to fix that yourself. Put the slide in a vice, use a brass punch and knock the sight out from left to right. gently tap the replacement in from right to left.

Just look at the top of the front sight, if it's pinned in you'll see it.

Good to know , its not. Thanks SGB. I have a pretty handy friend and I ordered a replacement site from Wilson. Well give it a try when it comes in. I still cant beleive my buddy traded me this gun for a Glock. He seems thrilled though.
