Any suggestions to some decently priced watcutters?  I shot a box of Blackhills blue box today and was quite surprised at the accuracy.  I'd never shot wadcutters until today, and the kimber fed them pretty nice, sans one hang up as the last round in the mag.

I've never seen .45acp wadcutters. I have seem .45acp semi-wadcutters, is that what you mean? If so, check GA Arms for pricing.

I've used Black Hills and Zero from Rose Distributing. Both are top quality reloads that are used by competitive shooters. NSK is another company that is very popular with the target crowd. Bear in mind that good wadutter ammo is not cheap. Outside of bullseye and target shooting, there isn't a lot of commercial demand for it.

If you're adventurous and you shoot a lot, consider reloading your own with Dillon Precision XL650 or similar.  200 gr. SWC's rock for targets..

thanks for the advice folks.

I do plan on reloading, eventually.  I save my brass every range trip, but need to find the time to start reloading.

I've shot more 200 gr SWC than anything else in .45 ACP. But, I reloaded all of them.

If I couldn't use modern JHPs, I'd use 'em for defense as well.
