I just picked up a Champion Serpent fiber front sight for my Para 1911 and it came with the dovetail sight and two fiber cords. Is this something that usually needs a gunsmith to do because I have no frikken idea how to put it together and on

Do you currently have a dovetail front sight? If so just use a brass drift to gently tap out the front sight from left to right and tap the new one in.
