I'm wanting to get a high ride belt holster for a kimber pro carry.  I was wonder if anyone knew of a decent to good holster that keeps the weapon high and tight and could be available within two weeks.  I also would like your opinions of the Hume 721 - OT, does it keep the weapon high enough to be covered by an untucked shirt, any pics of this holster in use?

Holsters in the FAQ found up top in the Resources Forum.

Mass production holster like Galco and Hume are fair holsters but not what I would consider a good holster. In my experiance they tend to stretch out and get worn out fairly early with regular use.

www.andrewsleather.com makes a nice rig that rides pretty high you may be interested in. You'd have to call about availability.

That Rigs is made for the Texas Rangers, I'm sure he'd make it a little plainer though.

kirkpatrick, I couldnt remember the name of that maker to save my life...
think I spent 15 min trying to find it in the 3 gun mags I have here and on the web....

that was going to be my top reccomendation..

I use a Burke holster I picked up 12 years ago with a belt and mag pouch..
Jimmy Burke is no longer around unfortuantly but his holster has held up extremly well.
his belt, made it thru 10 years of literally daily wear and still servicable but tired looking..
buying a guality custom, hand made vs factory made is well worth the truly few dollars more in cash vs longevity
I also use a wild bills as my new daily carry as the burke is starting to get weary,,thinking of haveing the mouth reinforced on it to over come that issue,

ETA,,i like the bottom mernickle, renger belt, oxblood color, overall presentation..

I called Mernickle holsters and asked about their high rise PS6 holster for a kimber pro carry.  They said that they had 1 in stock that they were about to take it and a few other holsters to a gun show.  Now they have one less holster to pack to the show.  It should be at my door by the 22nd.  Exellent service.

The PS6 is excellent. I have one for a full size 1911 and it wears well.

I have a Hume 721 OT for my Colt New Agent and just ordered another for my Gold Cup.  I love it - it rides at just the right height, hugs tight, conceals well, and the quality is good.  Certainly much better than I expected for a $40 holster.
