Who sells a 1911 frame with rails? What kind of prices should I expect for the frame & total of all parts? I've looked through my Brownell's catalog but can't find a railed frame. I'm an AR & Sig & Springfield fan planning my first pistol build, a MEUSOC clone. Would it be better just to fork out the bones for a complete 1911, say a Desert Warrior to get similar MEUSOC features? TIA.

Caspian does one, and will probably be your best (if not most accommodating) selection. I know Wilson sells frames as well and would likely have some railed variant.

www.essexarms.com/ sells cast frames and www.fusionfirearms.com/ sells both cast and forged as well.
