I think the pics turned out pretty good.  Repalced the rear sight with a Heinie (plain rear with only a night sight up front now) and replaced the FLGR with a Ed Brown USGI guide rod and plug.  Unfortunately, I'm probably going to be selling this pistol To get it to where I want it to be I'd still need to replace the trigger, hammer, sear, slide stop, and get a spare extractor fitted.  I need a secondary 1911, but I'm going to just be dumping too much money into this thing.  Figured if I sell it, I can get into something like a Springfield loaded model with night sights and change out the parts on that I want changed and still have enough left over to buy the mags and especially the ammo I am needing.  I need to train more.

if thats the case, you might should just consider getting a SA milspec and doing the upgrades yourself/smith

no reason to get a 'loaded' SA or kimber just to change everything imo...

out of curiosity, why do you want to cheange all your parts?

too bad though, i love my TLE  if i had the cash i'd take yours off your hand right now...

You have those "burnt orange" countertops too??

Nice pistol, if you do sell it, I think you will still be quite happy with the SA.

Yeah, I don't understand.  I'm kind of going through the same mental gymnastics you are right now.  I think I want another one, (I have a custom II right now), but do I go higher end so I don't have to have a smith work on mine.  Like a Warrior or something better.  I don't know if I want to spend for a Wilson or RRA so I'm probably just better off having a good gunsmith do the things I want to mine.  I know it would be cheaper.  My problem is not having one while it's gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I have a few other pistols to tie me over but I just really like my 1911.  And I don't have a second one.  See the dillema?????

Nothing a little horse trading and swapping wouldn't cure.  .  .

I have a browning hipower that I could maybe trade someone.  But I gotta find the right person.  Someone who likes them.  I just can't get used to it.  It has prolly around 300 rounds and is nice.  I should try on the EE but I think I'm gonna talk to hobbs first.  You gotta 1911's you would part with for a nice Hipower???  It's a Browning and Blued.

If I didn't already have a Belgium Hi Power we'd be talking.

More pics...added a CMC beaver tail to replace the factory one.  I put it up for sale on the EE regardless of the advice I got to the contrary.
