I purchased a premier II a few weeks ago and have been pulling my hair out with the FTF I've been experiencing.  With the stock mags, noses of bullets are feeding way to high.  Even with their recommended break in round (AE hardball), it was having problems.  Out of frustration, I picked up a couple of Wilson mags, and the pistol has functioned flawlessly.  Indeed, it shot a 11/2" group at 50yds and I'm not that good.  Can anything be done to tweak the factory mags?  I'm not particularly interested in parting with the gun and mags to send it back to les baer.  I'm just hoping something can be done to salvage them.  Is there a home remedy to prevent the silly high nose feeding?  I'm not bashing the gun--it is the nicest gun I've ever owned--which is saying alot.

Trade the mags and be done with it...

or call LB, with a set of calipers and see if they are out of spec.

I constantly have to tune my wilsons to keep them dropping and am looking for a deal on McCormicks or Tripps.   good luck

Send the mags back to Baer with a nice letter explaining that the gun works with other mags, but not the supplied mags.  They'll send you new ones.

I ran 47D's exclusively in my LB Combat Carry, no issues.

It could be to a strong spring. That being said send them back to Les Baer with what somebody else already said with a call to them explaining you're situation. LB makes a quality 1911 and like every other 1911 company doesn't want to hear or not much less let it be known they sent out a defective magazine to their gun.............unless it's happens to be a Kimber BP10-II then they keep sending you defective mags in hope you'll finally give up and exchange them for 10 rounders, when they started out being 14 rounders that Mr Olympia would be lucky to load 12 in.

I'm just finishing up the break in with this pistol.  When its done, i will send them a letter and the mags.  I did send them an email--which was not responded to.  Knowing that many companies do not monitor email all the time, I eventually called and was told to call back if I was still having problems after a 1000 round break in period.  I can accept that--although there is no way I was going to attempt the break in having FTF every magazine.  I will say, this is the finest firearm I've ever owned notwithstanding the mag issues.  Fortunately, Wilson maga are readily available.
