What kind of finish do you guys prefer for your carry guns?  I prefer all black guns, but for carry I'm starting to see the advantages of a hard chrome or stainless steel finish.  I'm curious about advantages, real or perceived, that go with different finishes for concealed carry.  On the flipside, what disadvantages do you see with the various finishes available?

I like corrosion resistant finishes. My current carry gun is hard Chromed. Blackhawks new Diamond Black finish is quite impressive and on my to get list when my SA Pro needs refinished.

I'm sold on hardchromed guns as well. Straight stainless is my next choice. I don't like bluing on carry guns, and my bake-on black Operator is not holding up too well. It will probably gt Black-T'd next.

The best finish bar none for CCW is "MELONITE" finish. It is a case hardening process that deposits a black finish on the guns surface. It has a Rochwell hardness of about 70

It "treats"   EVERY piece of your pistol ..............not just a bake on surface finish !!

It has its own lubricating properties ............on and on .............

You can literally leave you gun out in the rain for weeks .......and not find a bit of rust anywhere

$200 per pistol ......... you can't go wrong
