From the looks of those 25 yd groups, I don't think a barrel is going to help you at all. I know that at this point, I can't shoot that well with any gun at 25 yds, and i've been at this for a little while. I would say when you feel that there is a serious handicap to the factory setup, you may want to think about it, but it looks like you're doing fine. Leave it alone and shoot it a lot! later, AJ |
Again, a lighter hammer might make for faster lock time and better groups, but how can you improve on those groups? You aparently have the marksmanship basics down, you might want to spend your time on some close up shooting working on building speed, maybe an IDPA Match or something along those lines. I wouldn't mess with the gun until you find something you don't like about it. As a matter of fact, if it shoots that well, you might want to leave that one as is and get another one to mess around with! later, AJ |
Just started shooting USPSA/IPSC myself. I'm shooting production with a G34, but I might jump to Limited with my Kimber 40. |
