not normal....you didn`t say about firing. you are looking in the right direction though. you need to provide more info. how many mags you have, what type, is this a new handgun with a built in problem ? ideally, you should be able to run a mag of rounds through as if it were firing. the mags have so many variences, and you are talking about thousanths of clearance....the ejector shouldn`t be a problem, or the mag height, but, not to be overlooked if this is a new model with a possible mfg problem...(not likely)..I`d start with the mag shape, especially in the "lip" area...
