Seems like the last year or three of the Series 70s were like this, but don't take that as anything other than rumor.

Ikor or SGB will probably come along & state for certain a bit later.........

Colt made some combat commanders with just the slanted rear slide serrations but I don't remember ever seeing a LW Commader with slanted rear serrations except for the XSE which has the front serrations as well

Ok any idea what years to look for, or how to find one!?

Not sure about the years, but what you are looking for is what was called the enhanced Colts.  Like the pic of the Mk V.  They usually had a raised rib down the slide, the slants, etc.

What do you mean by a raised rib down the slide?

Damn, those pics are representing some real fine examples of what I like in a 1911. Really really nice.

Ok, maybe rib is not the right way to say it, but a raised flat.  Here is a pic off of GB

They show up at funshows once in a awhile.  Mine is a bubba Franken-Colt special I bought at a gunstore in 1998 for $300.  Not sure about the manufacture date.  Sometime in the mid 80's?

Pack a lunch.  She takes Martial Arts and sleeps with a 12ga shotgun and a XD45 Tactical on her side of the bed.

Shit, I don't go on that side of the room!
