I just threw a Taurus PT1911B on lay-a-way at the gun shot last week...didn't really plan on getting on that day but i've heard some good things about them and liked how it felt so I thought what the hell. Just wanted to know from those of you who have them what you think of them.

Thanks,
Ryan

Had one about month.  Maybe 350, 400 rounds thru it.  No problems.  Very happy with it and I'm not usually that enamored of the 1911 platform.  For the money , just about impossible to beat.

Have made no changes to it and don't plan on any.

I got mine back in Dec.  I really do like it quite a bit, and I have some 1911's that cost several times the price of this one.  It hasn't jammed on me yet and is quite accurate.  I have had a couple failures to fire where a round took a second hit from the firing pin to go off.  I haven't really had time to diagnose the cause yet, but otherwise i'm impressed thus far.  I would not worry, I think you made a good choice.

10 ring size group this weekend at 50 yds...with the sights covering the target.

I love my Taurus.

Well i just picked up the Taurus last weekend and have to say i'm really impressed with it so far...get to take it out tomorrow for the first time and see how it shoots but i'm sure I won't be disappointed. The fit is outstanding and its a very tight gun and has no rattle to it at all like some others i've looked at...and can't beat the price!

Awaiting the RR....I am debating getting the one at the local funshop for around 5 and a half.  Seems like alot of gun for the $.  Everyone else that gets one seems pretty damn happy with them.

i love mine (not as much as my Kimber TLE), best features it has (besides reliability) are the heinie sights and the trigger is not half bad

I've run over 1400 rds thru 2 PT1911's and they are great guns.  Fit and finish is not quite up to my Kimber Pro Carry II but they don't miss the mark by much.  Very accurate and will shoot groups as good as my Pro Carry, for $250 less than the Kimber. Plus it has the front strap and trigger guard checkering that the Kimber doesn't have.  I like mine very much, well worth the $530 that mine cost me.

Well just got back from the range and I couldn't be happier with the PT1911!!! It shot great, had tight groups and I had no problem with malfunctions of any kind...shot about 150 rounds through it and it was an absolute blast!!! Now my brother is looking at getting one...have to say for the money it was a lot more than I expected!!!
