Here’s a NRM Series 80 Colt I recently finished up...

Not the most elaborate of builds and certainly not the most basic the customer knew what he wanted on the gun and was nice enough to let me do the rest. This one got a weld-up frame and slide fit, Kart barrel, S&A grip safety, flattened and serrated slide top in curved arrow pattern, serrated rear of slide, Wilson ambi, borders, serrations front and rear with a high-cut front strap, and all the rest of the usual niceties like our Professional Grade sights with a gold line insert up front.

This gun also got a two-tone finish of polished blue over a nice coat of matte chrome and the over all build is, in my opinion, a versatile style as the features and parts allow the gun to fit into a wide variety of roles. Two-tone guns have really grown on me lately. I think they are quickly becoming my favorites to build and I’ve got a couple full-house two-tones guns getting finished up over the next couple of weeks.

I did my best “photographer” impression with the pictures but you’ll still have to excuse the excess lint and fuzz. Enjoy the pictures...

The beauty is in the details; very nice and simplistic. Not going to say that it needs new grips, because I like the ones it has (VZ by any chance?).

Nice work.

Jason, that is the way a Colt should be set up! I would install only a short Greider trigger and be in 1911 heaven.

Your pics are pretty good too.

I love how the grip screws are all oriented the same direction.  The appeal of the 1911 is truly in the details.

Yes he did... that's his new OWB rig, the Professional Speed Scabbard... it's fast, secure, and all around well thought out and it's quickly becoming my favorite OWB holster. I've been beating a prototype up for a year now and like everything else Lou makes the rig is thus far flawless.

Man, thats clean! Very nice. Love the serrations on the rear of the slide into the sights ans the serrations running up to a point at the front sight.

WOW!!

Except for some small details I hadn't thought of (like the borders on the slide top and how the grooves end at the front sight) that pistol pretty much matches what I've always want to do to a 1911! I love it.

And someday I will have one.
